My day is very varied, and I get involved with all departments in the business which makes it very interesting! I spend a lot of time in meetings and at other times I block out time and shut myself away to get bigger projects done. My main aim is to get FixFirm running like a well-oiled machine that’s an enjoyable place for everyone to work at.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to finding solutions to challenges and removing the hassle for customers and staff.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like spending time with my family, cooking, cycling, and getting out into the countryside.

Favourite travel destination and why?
My favourite travel destination is New Zealand, the scenery is amazing, there’s lots of empty space, and I love their good sense of humour.

I hate baked beans.

From my very first holiday job in school, I have been involved in every aspect of FixFirm, and the passion still burns within me today! I really enjoy driving our business forward and enhancing every area of our operations, particularly when it comes to delivering exceptional service to our customers. My day-to-day role at FixFirm sees me specifically involved in marketing and procurement areas along with looking after customers in any way I can too!

What do you look forward to at work?
There is nothing that I like more than being able to solve a technical problem for our customers or to bring some improvement to their work life by taking away hassle and issues in their processes or supply chain. It is always great to be able to identify new product innovations in the industry so I am always on the lookout for these opportunities in global industry news or exhibitions so we can bring these progressions to benefit our clients.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends - especially if there is a BBQ involved - and also going for walks in the countryside. I really enjoy doing home improvement projects and even some gardening if the weather is right!

Favourite travel destination and why?
My favourite travel destination is New Zealand because it’s got some amazing scenery and it’s the furthest place I have been to away from the UK!

Least favourite food?
My least favourite food is brussels sprouts.

Having worked through all roles in the company since I joined in 1981, I now play a more advisory and visionary role in Fixfirm. I always like to meet customers or potential customers, so please give me a call if you want to discuss our business relationship face-to-face, as we may be able to share great insights to mutual advantage.

I look forward to elevating our employees and ensuring that they are able to access training, gain experience, and have increased motivation so that they can prosper. As well as that I love meeting customers and other stakeholders in our business.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like working in my garden, walking, travelling, and spending time with my grandchildren.

My favourite travel destination is Canada because it has such breathtaking scenery and landscapes.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
As a motivated, technical problem solver with hands-on experience, I have the ability to understand and apply practical solutions to many different industries, some being house building, modular building, and civil engineering. This allows me to successfully support clients to improve their business processes and develop and expand FixFirm’s customer base. I enjoy building lasting relationships with senior buyers, contract managers and site managers and being a trusted, knowledgeable figure that they can depend on. I am always on the go, keeping in touch with the team and clients as we strive to make a positive difference to them.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to face-to-face client meetings and winning big deals.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy taking my 2 boys out, so they have a great time and wear off some energy.

Vancouver BC, Canada because there are lots of active things to do especially in the winter season.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
My day-to-day job role can vary, as I am responsible for our clients who use our SlickStock service, our VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Stock Solutions, as well as some Key Accounts. So, some days I am out visiting clients, managing their VMI Stock, or conducting a stock audit. On other days, I am in the office setting up new products for clients on SlickStock and managing their stock profiles or contacting Key Accounts.

What do you look forward to at work?
I enjoy visiting clients to set up and run managed stock solutions and help them with product advice & selection etc.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my wife and two young children, be with family and friends, and do DIY work.

Favourite travel destination?
Australia, for the weather and the scenery, and I have family there. 

Least favourtite food?
I don’t like olives.

I have a clean and tidy desk (only because I’m out a lot of the time).

I have an exciting role in overseeing client accounts, ensuring efficient running, looking at areas of improvement to save time and money and implementing those changes.

What do you look forward to at work?
I love the challenge of contacting prospects and showcasing the benefits we can give, and when they see the advantage FixFirm brings, this brings job satisfaction and keeps me hungry for more.

What do you like to do outside of work?
In my spare time, I like to meet up with friends at local coffee shops. I’m also a dancer based in Lincoln, Nottingham, and Leicester, with a new adventure of travelling across Europe to attend festivals.

Liquorice.

My day is full of calling prospects, progressing warm leads, and causing IT issues. Some of these tasks are not intentional…

What do you look forward to at work?
I love reaching the right person at the right time to solve their problems.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like visiting new and old cities, especially tasting the food. Best food/travel so far: Dim Sims in South Melbourne Market.

Favourite travel destination?
If I had to pick one, my dream destination is Sicily because (hint: it’s food related) of Sicilian lemons and Italian gelato.

Least favourite food?
Onion.

My desk is almost always clean… unless there is cake.

My day-to-day is mostly making sure that the needs of the customers are being met or exceeded/ supporting the Sales Team in their daily tasks. I spend a lot of time dealing with any queries or qualms that come through.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to spend my time doing some photography, I have a lot fish keeping and trips with the kids.

Favourite travel destination?
The Jilin Province China, it has beautiful scenery and culture, although the extremes of temperature can be a challenge.

Least favourite food?
I really don’t like coriander.

My day-to-day can vary as I do most of the stock orders for all the companies we have consignment stocks set up with, so this takes out most mornings for me and after that, it’s taking phone calls and emails doing all orders, quotes, qualms, and Queries.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing everyone and doing stock orders.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to travel and skateboard.

Favourite travel destination?
Lake District, because the walks and the drives are stunning, and the scenery is amazing.

I cannot stand fish.

My desk is a mix of messy and clean, messy desk shows character, but a clean desk shows a tidy mind.

My day-to-day consists of answering phones and taking orders. I also aid in the admin of our sales support team by inputting productivity to see which areas we need to improve in, and I spend a lot of time on the phone with couriers.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing my colleagues.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to go to concerts, I am an avid Indie Gig attender. If I could do anything with my time it would be seeing one of my favourite artists live.

Favourite travel destination?
Rhodes, Greece. I visited here when I was younger and went back a few years ago for my Grandparents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary so it holds great memories.

Least favourite food?
Mushrooms.

I have a very clean and tidy desk.

I buy screws!! (that’s what I tell everyone who asks what I do anyway). My days can vary but I usually do the same things most days, I do the day to day buying, making sure the warehouse is stocked up, working on price increases, and meeting promised dates for customers. On a Tuesday, I chase suppliers for goods that haven’t come in so that’s always my busiest day.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to go to raves.

Ibiza because I love a good party.

My desk is, without a doubt, the messiest desk in the office.

Typically, my days can be very varied, sometimes I will be working on the website, taking pictures of products, or even in meetings. I also spend my time working on bigger campaigns, or posters/ product guides for customers.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing everyone.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to see my friends and spend time with my family (mainly my dog), and I like to go to Costco and buy things I don’t need.

Favourite travel destination?
Paris, because I love people-watching and shopping so it’s the perfect place to do that, I also love the museums, and there are so many beautiful buildings and I like learning the history behind them.

Least favourite food?
I absolutely hate mushrooms, and onions.

My desk is mostly messy, with loads of little nik-naks and stress balls, I like to call it organized chaos, but I do try to keep it as clean as possible.

I enjoy my job as it is varied and can be challenging. Every day goes fast, and I am always kept busy. I am responsible for invoices going out and monies coming along with many other tasks including some HR duties. My busiest time is at month’s end when there are extra jobs and deadlines to be met.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy gardening, reading, and walking.

I don’t have a favourite destination, but I love anywhere with nice scenery.

I really don’t like Liver.

Each day is different thanks to having a variety of responsibilities, from supplier invoice entering and dealing with queries to bank reconciliation and supplier payments. I also deal with the ISO accreditations ensuring we are prepared for the annual audit and also conducting internal audits.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing my colleagues.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy baking and reading. Also, I enjoy going to the caravan and going in the hot tub and jet skiing in the summer months.

Favourite travel destination?
Anywhere hot and sunny with nice beaches but some of my favourite places are Portugal, Magaluf and Cyprus.

I don’t like any food that is not pizza,

Job Role and Responsibilities:
I oversea the dispatch and operations area, as well as general day-to-day jobs. My day-to-day responsibilities include picking and packing orders, managing couriers, working in the trade counter, any in-house IT issues the FixFirm staff may have, and occasionally helping the goods-inwards team. I do quite a bit of work with stock control, stock movements, and stock take. I used to work in sales support for 5 years before I transitioned to working in the warehouse.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy golf and watching Football.

Favourite travel destination?
I have two - Jamaica, as this is where I celebrated my honeymoon, and Florida, as this is the location where my partner and I got engaged.

Least favourite food?
I don’t like to eat fruit and vegetables.

I try and keep my desk as clean as it could be in a warehouse.

In addition to picking and packing orders, working at the trade counter, and occasionally assisting the goods-inwards crew, I do quite a lot of work with stock control, stock movements, and stock take.

I look forward to the free staff meals and the staff BBQs.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to travel to European cities and watch football.

Amsterdam because I love Stroopwafels and Febo.

As the main picker, I spend the majority of my day picking orders and preparing them for dispatch. My daily duties also involve serving customers in the trade counter, packing orders, and occasionally assisting the goods-inwards crew.

I love to travel.

Punta Cana because of the weather and the culture.

My day-to-day responsibilities include picking and packing orders, working in the trade counter, and occasionally helping the goods-inwards team. I received a distinction in a warehouse operative apprenticeship, I also earned my forklift license.

Seeing the warehouse team.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to go driving and ride my motorbike, and I like to go to Cadwell Park and watch the motorbike races.

Austria, the views are amazing when you’re skiing.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
My job is to oversee the goods inward department, checking goods that come in and booking the goods in accordingly, replenishing and moving stock to better locations. I serve customers at the counter and fast lane ensuring great customer service to all our customers. Also ownership and overseeing health and safety, which means completing safety reviews, documents are updated and risk assessments, also fire alarm tests as I am also a fire marshal for the company.

What do you look forward to at work?
One thing I like about work is working with a great forward-thinking team.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I am into all kinds of fitness, eating out and socializing. I also play snooker at a high level and represented Lincolnshire on many occasions.

Favourite travel destination?
Greece is my favourite destination to travel to as it is a beautiful country and myself and my wife were married in Lindos, Rhodes 5 years ago.

Least favourite food?
Personally, seafood is pretty grim!!

I work as part of the goods-in team which oversees the intake of stock and the placement of the stock onto the shelves or sending them out for orders. I also do some order picking and when required stock take.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing the people I work with, a great team that creates an amazing atmosphere where there is support and encouragement to always develop and do your best not just for the customer but also for the company.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I play guitar in a band and also teach guitar.

Favourite travel destination?
Fueturventura, because of the amazing scenery and great weather.

Least favourite food?
Mac and cheese.

My desk is always clean.

I deliver and collect from customers, and I also do a lot of the tidying and putting away of products at the clients SlickStock locations.

What do you look forward to at work?
One thing I look forward to at work is meeting various clients and their fellow workers. 

What do you like to do outside of work?
I go to football matches as often as possible, and to the cinema.

Favourite travel destination?
Sitges – a small town just South of Barcelona, it has nice beaches and restaurants and it’s just a nice place to relax.

Least favourite food?
Anything with aniseed in it – they have this liquorice taste that I hate.

As I’m a driver I don’t have a desk, but I do like to have a clean vehicle and cab.
