Spring Toggle Fixings

Our Spring Toggles are a popular cavity fixing which is very useful where thick boards are encountered as a long screw or even threaded rod can be used to secure the fixing.

They are an all metal fixing suitable for use in plasterboard or other cavity applications. Two spring loaded legs open up in the cavity once the toggle is through the hole in the board and into the cavity providing a secure fixing.

You will need to order suitable screws for use with these spring toggles as these are not supplied. Please allow enough length to go through the item you are fixing, the board thickness and then sufficient length to allow the toggle to expand fully once into the cavity - typically you need to allow 30-50mm behind to allow it to expand behind correctly.

• Used in conjunction with machine screws or threaded rod and washers
• M5 Spring Toggles require a 14mm hole diameter in the board to install

NB: Please note that the toggle is not held captive in the board so if the fixing is undone for any reason the spring toggle can drop away. Our Snaptoggle Toggler Snap Toggles are a better option if this is an issue.
