My day is very varied, and I get involved with all departments in the business which makes it very interesting! I spend a lot of time in meetings and at other times I block out time and shut myself away to get bigger projects done. My main aim is to get FixFirm running like a well-oiled machine that’s an enjoyable place for everyone to work at.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to finding solutions to challenges and removing the hassle for customers and staff.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like spending time with my family, cooking, cycling, and getting out into the countryside.

Favourite travel destination and why?
My favourite travel destination is New Zealand, the scenery is amazing, there’s lots of empty space, and I love their good sense of humour. 

Least favourite food?
I hate baked beans.

From my very first holiday job in school, I have been involved in every aspect of FixFirm, and the passion still burns within me today! I really enjoy driving our business forward and enhancing every area of our operations, particularly when it comes to delivering exceptional service to our customers. My day-to-day role at FixFirm sees me specifically involved in marketing and procurement areas along with looking after customers in any way I can too!

What do you look forward to at work?
There is nothing that I like more than being able to solve a technical problem for our customers or to bring some improvement to their work life by taking away hassle and issues in their processes or supply chain. It is always great to be able to identify new product innovations in the industry so I am always on the lookout for these opportunities in global industry news or exhibitions so we can bring these progressions to benefit our clients.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends - especially if there is a BBQ involved - and also going for walks in the countryside. I really enjoy doing home improvement projects and even some gardening if the weather is right!

Favourite travel destination and why?
My favourite travel destination is New Zealand because it’s got some amazing scenery and it’s the furthest place I have been to away from the UK!

Least favourite food?
My least favourite food is brussels sprouts.

Having worked through all roles in the company since I joined in 1981, I now play a more advisory and visionary role in Fixfirm. I always like to meet customers or potential customers, so please give me a call if you want to discuss our business relationship face-to-face, as we may be able to share great insights to mutual advantage.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to elevating our employees and ensuring that they are able to access training, gain experience, and have increased motivation so that they can prosper. As well as that I love meeting customers and other stakeholders in our business.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like working in my garden, walking, travelling, and spending time with my grandchildren.

My favourite travel destination is Canada because it has such breathtaking scenery and landscapes.

Salty bacon.

My favourite desk is a clean desk. It is so refreshing when it is that way!

Job Role and Responsibilities:
As a motivated, technical problem solver with hands-on experience, I have the ability to understand and apply practical solutions to many different industries, some being house building, modular building, and civil engineering. This allows me to successfully support clients to improve their business processes and develop and expand FixFirm’s customer base. I enjoy building lasting relationships with senior buyers, contract managers and site managers and being a trusted, knowledgeable figure that they can depend on. I am always on the go, keeping in touch with the team and clients as we strive to make a positive difference to them.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to face-to-face client meetings and winning big deals.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy taking my 2 boys out, so they have a great time and wear off some energy.

Vancouver BC, Canada because there are lots of active things to do especially in the winter season.

I really don’t like tuna.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
My day-to-day job role can vary, as I am responsible for our clients who use our SlickStock service, our VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Stock Solutions, as well as some Key Accounts. So, some days I am out visiting clients, managing their VMI Stock, or conducting a stock audit. On other days, I am in the office setting up new products for clients on SlickStock and managing their stock profiles or contacting Key Accounts.

What do you look forward to at work?
I enjoy visiting clients to set up and run managed stock solutions and help them with product advice & selection etc.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my wife and two young children, be with family and friends, and do DIY work.

Favourite travel destination?
Australia, for the weather and the scenery, and I have family there. 

Least favourtite food?
I don’t like olives.

I have a clean and tidy desk (only because I’m out a lot of the time).

Everyday seems to be a busy day, which I love! Supporting clients, working as a team to achieve targets.

I look forward to the great winning atmosphere and culture.

I love a good day out in the summer on the lake with my kayak or paddleboard.

Lake District - I don't think there is more of a peaceful relaxing place to go, however i do also love a good day out in London mixing in with the hustle and bustle of life down there.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
I buy screws!! (that’s what I tell everyone who asks what I do anyway). My days can vary but I usually do the same things most days, I do the day to day buying, making sure the warehouse is stocked up, working on price increases, and meeting promised dates for customers. On a Tuesday, I chase suppliers for goods that haven’t come in so that’s always my busiest day.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to go to raves.

Ibiza because I love a good party.

Prawns.

My desk is, without a doubt, the messiest desk in the office.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
Each day is different thanks to having a variety of responsibilities, from supplier invoice entering and dealing with queries to bank reconciliation and supplier payments. I also deal with the ISO accreditations ensuring we are prepared for the annual audit and also conducting internal audits.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing my colleagues.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy baking and reading. Also, I enjoy going to the caravan and going in the hot tub and jet skiing in the summer months.

Favourite travel destination?
Anywhere hot and sunny with nice beaches but some of my favourite places are Portugal, Magaluf and Cyprus.

Least favourite food?
I don’t like any food that is not pizza,

Job Role and Responsibilities:
I oversea the dispatch and operations area, as well as general day-to-day jobs. My day-to-day responsibilities include picking and packing orders, managing couriers, working in the trade counter, any in-house IT issues the FixFirm staff may have, and occasionally helping the goods-inwards team. I do quite a bit of work with stock control, stock movements, and stock take. I used to work in sales support for 5 years before I transitioned to working in the warehouse.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy golf and watching Football. Spending time with my family

Favourite travel destination?
I have two - Jamaica, as this is where I celebrated my honeymoon, and Florida, as this is the location where my partner and I got engaged.

Least favourite food?
I don’t like to eat fruit and vegetables.

I try and keep my desk as clean as it could be in a warehouse.

In addition to picking and packing orders, working at the trade counter, and occasionally assisting the goods-inwards crew, I do quite a lot of work with stock control, stock movements, and stock take.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to the free staff meals and the staff BBQs.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to travel to European cities and watch football.

Amsterdam because I love Stroopwafels and Febo.

Carbonara and anything with mayo.

My day-to-day responsibilities include picking and packing orders, working in the trade counter, and occasionally helping the goods-inwards team. I received a distinction in a warehouse operative apprenticeship, I also earned my forklift license.

What do you look forward to at work?
Seeing the warehouse team.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to go driving and ride my motorbike, and I like to go to Cadwell Park and watch the motorbike races.

Favourite travel destination?
Austria, the views are amazing when you’re skiing.

Least favourite food?
Curry.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
My job is to oversee the goods inward department, checking goods that come in and booking the goods in accordingly, replenishing and moving stock to better locations. I serve customers at the counter and fast lane ensuring great customer service to all our customers. Also ownership and overseeing health and safety, which means completing safety reviews, documents are updated and risk assessments, also fire alarm tests as I am also a fire marshal for the company.

What do you look forward to at work?
One thing I like about work is working with a great forward-thinking team.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I am into all kinds of fitness, eating out and socializing. I also play snooker at a high level and represented Lincolnshire on many occasions.

Favourite travel destination?
Greece is my favourite destination to travel to as it is a beautiful country and myself and my wife were married in Lindos, Rhodes 5 years ago.

Least favourite food?
Personally, seafood is pretty grim!!

I work as part of the goods-in team which oversees the intake of stock and the placement of the stock onto the shelves or sending them out for orders. I also do some order picking and when required stock take.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing the people I work with, a great team that creates an amazing atmosphere where there is support and encouragement to always develop and do your best not just for the customer but also for the company.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I play guitar in a band and also teach guitar.

Favourite travel destination?
Fueturventura, because of the amazing scenery and great weather.

Least favourite food?
Mac and cheese.

As the main picker, I spend the majority of my day picking order and preparing them for dispatch. My daily duties also involve serving customers in the trade counter and at the fast lane. And I also spend my time helping the Goods Inwards team when needed.

What do you look forward to at work?
I look forward to laughing with my co-workers.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I go to the gym, play golf, and I like watching the F1 on weekends.

My favourite travel destination is London because of the cars and shopping.

I hate anything spicy.
