Steel Standard Dome Head Rivets
Steel Standard Dome Head Rivets
Our Steel Standard Dome Head Rivets are a range of blind rivets (also known as pop rivets) used to join two or more materials together where access to the back side is limited. They consist of a cylindrical body and a mandrel, which is a metal pin that is pulled into the body during installation, creating a secure and tight joint.
These rivets are an open-end type which are very versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications where the joint doesn't require a sealed end.
The recommended hole size for a blind rivet is typically between 0.1mm to 0.2mm larger than the diameter of the body of the rivet. For example, if you are using a 4.8mm diameter blind rivet, the hole size should be between 4.9mm to 5.0mm.
These rivets have a steel body and steel BZP mandrel. A steel body rivet gives added strength over an aluminium version, but aluminium ones are easier to pull up and give more corrosion resistance in most applications than a steel body one would.
