Correct use of cutting discs

20/07/2022

What are cutting discs?

Cutting discs are used for cutting through various types of metal and other dense building materials such as metals and plastics for fast and straight cuts. They should be replaced regularly to maintain an efficient cutting edge as well as improve the safety of the user.

How do I use cutting discs safely?

Always be sure to comply with all accident prevention regulations when using Grinding Discs and Cut-off wheels. The appropriate industrial safety pictograms are found on all discs and wheels. The cutting discs should always be replaced if showing any sign of damage which includes visible cracks, chips or any signs of bending or twists to the wheel. Cut-off wheels should be replaced when they hit their expiration date which can be found imprinted on the metal centre of the disc.
