M3 Metric H.S.G.T. Taps
Our Metric H.S.G.T. Taper Taps are a high-speed steel ground metric coarse straight flute full size taps used as machine taps or by hand for tapping in free cutting Steel up to 800N/mm2. They are an uncoated general purpose tap made to ISO 529 dimensions. These taps are right hand thread with a taper thread.
These taps require a pre-drilled hole into the steel. An M3 metric course thread requires a 2.5mm drill hole. We would recommend our W121-025 2.5mm HSS-G Ground Point Twist Drills for use with this tap.

Our Metric H.S.G.T. Taper Taps are a high-speed steel ground metric coarse straight flute full size taps used as machine taps or by hand for tapping in free cutting Steel up to 800N/mm2. These taps require a pre-drilled hole into the steel. An M3.5 metric course thread requires a 2.9mm drill hole. We would recommend our W121-029 2.9mm HSS-G Ground Point Twist Drills for use with this tap.
