ZIP Screws - Yellow Countersunk Pozi Chipboard Screws
Our Yellow Countersunk Pozi Chipboard Screws are now the most popular screws we sell as they can be used in a wide variety of applications as well as being a cost effective product.
These Chipboard Screws are made from hardened carbon steel and have a Zinc & Yellow passivated finish making them ideal for all joinery and fixing applications.
They are made with thin shafts and coarse threads meaning they dive in quickly without a pilot hole but still giving a secure fixing in most timbers or particle type boards such as chipboard or MDF.
They are also available in a Pan Head (Round Head type head) as well as in Stainless Steel for extra corrosion resistant or external applications
The screw sizes are in metric and as an approximate equivalent to the old imperial gauge woodscrew sizing a 4 gauge = 3.0mm, 6 gauge = 3.5mm, 7 or 8 gauge is 4.0mm / 4.5mm, 10 gauge is 5.0mm and 12 gauge is 6mm. Chipboard screws are also sometimes named particleboard screws or just woodscrews!
Supplied in Metric diameters from 3.0-6.0mm and lengths from 12 to 300mm long

Can be used in plastic or nylon wall plugs – although if you are being technical they do tend to perform better in a nylon type plug!
